Reykjavik, Open Air Museum at Arbæjarsafn.

Posted 1 year ago by avatar astroboy in response to sir's question: I am interested to see the old buildings of early Iceland. (give a different answer) .

If you, accidently, are in Hlemmur just take the bus No 10, or take the buss No 110 from Lækjartorg and check Arbæjarsafn, the Open Air Museum. Its a 12.5-hectare historic farm set up as museum in 1957. Paying just 500 Ikr I've seen the interesting collection of old homes with period furniture, workshop and other buildings moved from various places. At the and I didnt miss the 25-minutes of audio-visual presentation on the history of Reykjavik. Open mostly from 10am to 4pm, located at Arbær, tel. 577 1111.
